Who is responsible for your information
The practice trading as Mullins Therapy is responsible for the information you send through this site. The registered details are Kevin Mullin, trading as Mullins Therapy and The Mullins Method, 15 Glenleith Place, Bourtreehill South, Irvine, Ayrshire KA11 1EE, and the practice’s data protection registration is ZC248970.
What the enquiry form collects
The enquiry form on this site asks for exactly seven things:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Which office you would like to be seen at, or that you would prefer to work online
- An optional message, if you want to tell us anything before we speak
- Optionally, where you are based: your country and, in the UK, only the first part of your postcode (for example G41), or elsewhere your nearest town or city. We use this, counted across all enquiries, to understand where people are contacting us from
- Your explicit consent for us to reply to you, which is recorded with the time you gave it
The form does not ask for any health information, and you should not put any into the message box. What you are asking for is a conversation. Anything about your health belongs in that conversation, not in a web form.
Where it goes
Your enquiry is emailed to the therapist for the office you chose: Kevin and Heather for Glasgow, Nicola for Ayr, Jay for Liverpool. If you choose online, it reaches the same practice mailbox as Glasgow and is passed to one of our therapists. All of it uses the practice’s own Google Workspace account, and each enquiry is also recorded in the practice’s own enquiry management system within that same Workspace, so that none is lost. That record also notes which page of this site you sent it from. A welcome email is sent back to you at the address you gave.
To protect the practice’s mailbox from automated spam, the form also notes how many seconds it was open before you sent it, and we check whether a message contains a web link. An enquiry that looks automated is still read by the team, but no welcome email is sent to it.
Appointments are then arranged by the practice. Your enquiry is not posted to a booking system by this website, and no appointment diary is published on it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 6 months, and client records are kept for 6 years. If you ask us to delete your enquiry before then, we will.
Measurement, and what runs only if you agree
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement to understand how people find it. These run under Google’s consent mode: until you agree, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, and what is sent carries no information that identifies you.
This includes counting when an enquiry is sent, and when one of our office phone numbers is tapped (we record which office, and where on the page the number was). We cannot see or hear the call itself. Taps on crisis-line numbers, such as Samaritans, are never counted.
If you reached us by clicking one of our Google adverts and have not agreed to cookies, the short code Google gave that ad click is carried in this site’s page addresses instead of a cookie, as you move from page to page and when you send an enquiry. It lets us see whether our adverts lead to enquiries. It does not contain your name, your contact details or anything you type into the form.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, from the company that hosts this site, to count visits and see which pages are read. It runs for everyone, whether or not you agree to cookies, because it sets no cookies and keeps nothing on your device. Visits are told apart by an anonymous code made from each visit, which is deleted after 24 hours and cannot follow you to other websites.
You can change your mind at any time using the cookie controls on this site, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Two small things are kept in your own browser, not on our systems, and neither identifies you: your answer to the cookie question, so we stop asking; and, if you switch this site to the light look, that choice for the rest of your visit. The second is forgotten when you close the browser.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you made an enquiry.
- We do not publish anything about who has been in touch, or who is a client.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email data@mullinstherapy.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, which is the UK regulator for this.
If anything here is unclear, ask.
You can ask what we hold, or ask us to delete it, before you ever book anything.
We accept Klarna, so the cost of treatment can be spread over time rather than paid all at once.
