A BBC consultant
Kevin Mullin is a BBC consultant, appearing regularly across the BBC as a voice on anxiety — the same thinking the whole team works from.
Anxiety HIT (High Intensity Therapy) Treatment is our own structured programme for anxiety, panic and overthinking. It works on the pattern the feeling runs on rather than on the feeling alone, using practical methods drawn from psychology and hypnotherapy. It runs at our Glasgow, Ayr and Liverpool offices, and online worldwide.
It is built to finish, and you know its shape before you start.

Anxiety rarely announces itself. It shows up as the thing you have quietly started arranging your life around.
Agreed with you at the consultation rather than fixed in advance. We do not keep people in therapy indefinitely.

Four stages, and you know which one you are in the whole way through.
Your enquiry goes straight to the therapist for your city, and a welcome email follows straight away.
We work out what is going on and what better would look like for you. You carry on only if it fits.
Four or six 45-minute sessions, agreed at the consultation. Each works on the pattern rather than the feeling.
The aim is to reach the point where you no longer need us. The programme has a shape rather than an open end.

If yours is not here, ask when you get in touch — the consultation is partly for exactly that.

Either four or six sessions, and every treatment session is 45 minutes. Which of the two suits you is agreed at your consultation, which is 30 minutes on its own. The programme is built to reach an end rather than run on indefinitely.
It is one of the methods, not the whole of it. We draw on psychology and hypnotherapy together and use whichever suits what you have come in with. Nobody is put through anything they have not agreed to, and you are in control throughout.
Yes. The same structured programme runs by video, wherever you are in the world. People choose it when travelling to an office is difficult, when they would rather do this from home, or when their week does not hold still long enough to plan around.
Tell us where you are and, if you’d like to, a line about what’s going on. Pick an office in Glasgow, Ayr or Liverpool, or pick online, which we run worldwide. Your message goes to a therapist and a welcome email follows straight away.
We only ask for what we need to reply. Please don’t put health details in here — that conversation belongs in the room.
Would you rather talk? Call Glasgow on 07393 675083, Ayr on 07956 034432, or Liverpool on 07951 155559.
We accept Klarna, so the cost of treatment can be spread over time rather than paid all at once.
